From house fires and floods to wildfires and major disasters, we bring people, resources, and different sectors together to help communities respond, recover, and rebuild.
Our goal is simple: Help when it matters most.
Our Journey
Where it started
You wanted to create something that could help Central Oregon families and communities prepare for and recover from disasters, especially wildfire-related emergencies. The idea grew into something broader: not just wildfire response, but support for house fires, floods, severe weather, natural disasters, and human-caused disasters.
What WE’VE built so far
Established Recovery Bridge Foundation as an Oregon nonprofit corporation. - Obtained our EIN and UEI, through federal registration for grant eligibility. Built the foundation's leadership, mission, vision, and strategic direction. - Started developing partnerships with local governments, businesses, contractors, nonprofits, and community leaders. - Began developing website, branding, and outreach materials.
The direction has also changed—and gotten stronger
The biggest shift is that you’re no longer looking at Recovery Bridge Foundation as simply “a place for people to go during a wildfire.”
The vision is becoming a coordinated community support organization.
The goal is to work across sectors with:
Local government
Contractors and construction companies
Businesses
Nonprofits
Community leaders
Volunteers
Other organizations
And help provide resources, equipment, skilled labor, connections, and hands-on support when communities need it.
Where we are now
We are essentially at the foundation-building and partnership stage.
The next step is to start connecting Recovery Bridge Foundation to existing community programs, government efforts, and major projects where your organization can fill gaps and provide additional capacity.
Instead of creating an entirely separate project from scratch, we are exploring how Recovery Bridge Foundation could potentially work alongside established/upcoming sectors and establish a role for the foundation.
And our long-term model is becoming:
Immediate Crisis → Stabilization → Recovery → Rebuilding → Long-Term Resilience
Recovery Bridge Foundation is moving from an idea for a wildfire-support organization into a broader community disaster-response and recovery network that brings different sectors together to help people when they need it most.
