Turning My Hardest Chapters Into Hope for Others

Why Recovery Bridge Foundation Exists
Recovery Bridge Foundation began with a life-changing experience that showed me how difficult it can be to navigate recovery when everything changes in an instant.
In 2022, I was involved in a serious car accident while working. I suffered significant injuries, including a spinal injury that required surgery and spinal fusion. What followed was a long and difficult recovery—not only physically, but also emotionally and financially.
As I worked through recovery, I experienced firsthand how complicated it can be to navigate medical care, insurance, paperwork, and the many systems that are supposed to help you move forward. There were times when I felt like I was trying to figure everything out on my own. I learned that even when resources exist, getting connected to the right help at the right time isn't always easy.
I continued working, rebuilding my life, and trying to move forward while dealing with ongoing challenges from the accident.
Then, in 2026, my life changed again.
After months of symptoms, testing, imaging, and uncertainty, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma. What had already been a difficult recovery became another major chapter of uncertainty.
Going through these experiences opened my eyes to something bigger than my own situation.
Life can change in a moment. A disaster, accident, illness, house fire, flood, or other crisis can leave a family suddenly trying to figure out what to do next.
I know what it feels like to need help and not always know where to turn. I know how overwhelming it can be when you're dealing with multiple systems at once. And I know that not every family has the resources, connections, or support network to navigate those moments alone.
That is what led me to create Recovery Bridge Foundation.
The goal isn't simply to respond after something happens. The goal is to help build a stronger network that can bring together government, businesses, contractors, nonprofits, community leaders, volunteers, and other sectors so families and communities can connect with the help they need.
We want to be part of a coordinated system that can support people through immediate crisis, stabilization, recovery, rebuilding, and long-term resilience.
My experiences didn't make me want to create an organization because I believe I can solve everything.
They made me realize that we shouldn't have to face difficult moments alone.
Recovery Bridge Foundation is my way of turning those experiences into something that can help others.
Because when life changes in an instant, people need more than hope. They need a bridge to help them move forward.
